Neither myself nor the blog as far as I can see claimed the mirrorless camera would be K-mount. Of course they have the same problem everyone else does regarding legacy glass when attempting to make a new system.

I'm not familiar with Pentax anyway, are the lenses you can currently buy new for it compatible with full frame? I know they don't have a full frame DSLR to use it on anyway...

For the Pentax fanboy, if they were to introduce a full-frame body that is not K-mount then it would be a disaster. For Pentax, it doesn't make sales sense to offer a full-frame at all because the only customers who really care about FF are the die-hard fanboys (a very small subset of their customer base) who are clutching their legacy glass (some of it nice Limited lenses, but a lot of it inexpensive lenses from the last 40 years) and realistically Pentax only cares about selling new lenses. If they introduced a new mount, it would be very unlikely to full-frame (small small market) unless they were going to go after Leica M9 uber high-end (where a mirrorless 645D would make more sense). Therefore, a new lensmount would most likely be APS-C and not full-frame. But their APS-C pancake lenses are already really tiny so it wouldn't be unfeasible to keep the K-mount also for APS-C.

(I'm a fanboy, BTW...)

Although it doesn't make any sense for Pentax to make full-frame at all, they've announced that they are "thinking about it", so the most likely (lowest resources required) would be to use the existing lens mount in GXR module. They do have 5 primes that are certified full frame FA 31 Ltd, FA 43 Ltd, FA 77 Ltd, DFA 50 Macro, DFA 100 WR Macro. They would only have to release a 24mm f/2 or f/2.8 which would not only provide a very reasonable (Leica-M-esque) range of FF lenses, but also fill a big hole in the APS-C line (where they have 6 prime lenses between 31 ~ 43mm and none between 21 and 31 (and the 21 is slow)).
