Yes, exactly. The light does no longer hit the light meter in the expected way but with a slight angle, so the measured results are off.
For the same reason, don't trust the AF confirmation. However, with a T/S lens, you'll most likely prefer to check focus with Liveview in the whole scene anyway. With some practice, you can also do so in the viewfinder.
