I have their 14 and it's a great lens; the fact that it cost me $650 instead of $2200 makes it all the sweeter. Also I can't agree with wim - not sure any blanket statements about any of the manufacturers are warranted; let's not forget that Canon had made quite a load of outright tripe (like all those endless 28-80 and 90-300 type zooms) in the 90s as well but we don't judge them for that. I feel that every manufacturer has upped the ante since the 90s and early 00s. Who would've thought that Sigma would be releasing a state of the art modern 50 and 85?
