Although Pentax was once renowned for building very small high quality slrs, I honestly do think they lost it a bit over 15 years ago, when they stopped catering for professionals in the 135 format (35 mm film) market, both with regard to cameras and to optics. I still don't know whart happened, as I had enough very good gear in those days to not really look at any new gear, so I completely missed the turning point. I think it is a great shame, and I also think it is unfortunate that they never managed a turnaround, so far anyway.
I honestly hope that they will manage to do so, but I am worried they won't.
Ah well, we'll just have to wait and see i guess <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.
Kind regards, Wim
