I think sensor tilt in normal photographic use is not as noticeable as for astrophotography use, since you rarely need to get a plane in focus parallel to the sensor. For astrophotography, everything is at (practical) infinity and you soon notice if something isn't close enough to infinity due to the tilt.



Roughly speaking, is the depth of focus proportional to the physical aperture size? I think my problems are about to get a lot worse as I've been eyeing up some 200 or 250mm aperture scopes recently... makes the 135mm f/2 sound like a toy.
