I guess there's little point in testing big superteles, we all know they're going to be fantastic - well, for the price that's not unexpected, innit?

We know they can deliver fantastic results in the field, but can they hold their own in the PZ lab? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Markus tested the Nikkor 200 f/2, would be very interesting to see results for the Canon equivalent (and for that matter, the legendary EF 200 f/1.8).

Though I can likely predict the results of 20, 28 and 100: the 100 "solid", the 20 and 28 "iffy" to "disastrous".
Of course there are the old cheap 24/2.8 and 28/2.8 - and Markus tested the equivalents on his side of the fence - but they're too old and not likely to be used on FF anyways. Ditto 135 SF. Not sure about the CM.
Oh, and one more overlooked lens is the 28-135 IS. It's still in production so does it have a chance?

The 50mm f/2.5 CM is a good standard prime on FF, with a somewhat modest max aperture, of course. You are right about the 28-135 IS, but I think the primes are more important (particularly the 180L).
As for APS-C, it would be nice to see a lens that could topple the Sigma 17-50's center performance <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
