Well; it is sort of a quality vs price here. Yes the 24f1.8 is available but it is also $1000 and a single lens does not make a system. The fuji is not much better as it will start with three lenses but I have more faith in fuji bringing out upper tier lenses in the near future than sony (given sony history here). What I did not say is I have some old c/y lenses that will work just fine on the nex that will cover 25-100mm; so the only thing I really lack is a wide angle (if I don't mind the constant swapping). It is too early to say much about fuji lens performance relative to 24f1.8 but the price is certainly more reasonable (yes I know the body is most expensive but I'm looking at total system cost). I have no clue if my c/y lenses will work on the fuji body.

micro 4/3 on the other hand is littered with just about any lens you can imagine with the reasonable fast 25f1.4; 45f.18 12f2; 20f1.7 to the 4/3 14-54 and 12-60 (though these are a bit large for such a small body). There is also the 14-150 for those who must have a super zoom. Prices are all over the map from a very reaonable 45f1.8 to a rather pricey 12f2 and mid range 25f1.4

I have no clue if the nex 50f1.8 is reasonable. The 24f1.8 has a bit of ca and softness in the corners for the price point (in absolute sense it appears reasonable - this is base on reviews and sample images folks have posted comparing it to other lenses near the same price point - i've not used it obviously).

Anyways I think all three are viable options but I only want to buy into one system (I'm currently in no system). Hum. Also unlike full frame or 6x7; i think the sensor size between these camera is less significant with regards to dof control.

What about the 24/1.8 and the 50/1.8 OSS? And there should be one more prime this year. The 24 is really good and the first pictures of the 50 are also promising. Ok, they are looking big but after I hold my 24 in my hand I was surprised how small and light it is. It's much lighter than my Nokton 40/1.4, much sharper, better bokeh, and only a little bit larger. Ok, it has cost me 800 Euro.
