Hi BC,
I am trying to figure out lenses keeping in mind a FF purchase.
I have bought D5100 fully knowing that it will not work with AFD lenses but i didn't want to spend too much money on a crop camera.
Right now i have a kit lens for D5100 and i am going to buy an all purpose general lens for that.
I shot with 135L on a 5DII for a project and i was blown by the results. While 135L looks astounding even on FF sensor here in photozone, the Nikon version
looks somewhat lacking, and without a FF review. I thought maybe its because of the age and old tech, which is why i asked this question.
Right now, if i were to buy a Canon FF camera, the lenses are pretty sorted out: New 24 IS, 50, 135 and 70-200 F4. But in Nikon (keeping in mind D800), its not
so easy perhaps because 24, 135 and 180 all are very old lenses. Sigma doesn't have a 135, or a good 24 or a fast 180.
