Yakim, with all due respect, I don't know how you can read that and conclude that.
While I could agree that operationnally, it's likely it won't make such a difference, it's clearly going to be a "different AF", while using the same AF sensor substrate. Clearly a nuance.
From memory, wasn't the D300 or D300s said to be using the "same AF" as the D3? I think I remember reports it was quite a different story in the field though. Nikonians will correct me.
But as popo said, a welcome improvement nevertheless. To my susprise, that 5D MKIII is quite attractive to me.
