So why is there no problem on the 5n then ? This has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the megapixels but the micro-lens (and possibly AA) design of the sensor. As mentioned the effect will only be emphasized with symmetrical designs - this doesn't mean that it's nil for dedicated lenses. It depends on the specific light path.
BTW, feel free to correlate the NEX 7 border snapshots over a LL vs
