The NEX-5 has been replaced with a NEX-5N which specifically solved a corner issue from the sensor of the NEX-5. The NEX-7 seems to not have such a solution. Why are you comparing the NEX-7 to the NEX-5 and not the 5N?

Funny that Klaus reviewed all previous lenses with Nex-5 (not with 5N). He even reviewed Nex-5 as a camera (with higher resolution score than anything else APSC that he ever reviewed). He never mentioned there was an "issue".
There is this reviewer http://erphotoreview.com/wordpress/
who tested several lenses with Nex-3. Then he bought 5N, and after some tests, he returned 5N because he claimed there was no difference in corner performance. Other people have claimed that they see a difference, but it's not clear if that applies to all lenses or certain rangefinder lenses.
My prediction is that if Klaus were to test, say the E-mount 50mm F1.8, on Nex-5N, the graphs would look "relatively" better (compared to the center on 5N). That is, the corner performance would be the same (not better) as Nex-7, but the center resolution would be lower on 5N than Nex-7. So overall the graph might look more uniform on 5N, but that doesn't mean 5N magically will show more detail in corners than Nex-7. I don't believe it will, and and I will put my money on that prediction.
