Pol. filters can have their place even on very wide angle lenses. The photographer of course needs to know what he/she is doing. ND filters are very valuable to landscape photographers.
Of course, 95mm filters will be rare (not available in every camera shop) and expensive. But much, much more affordable than 145mm ones <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

You will have a very hard time to find a 95mm polarizer. There is a cheap Hoya for 200,- Euro or a better Rodenstock for 490 Euro.
And don't forget that the Zeiss is more expensive (about 600-700 Euro ?) For this you can easily buy a LEE filter system with polarizer for the 14-24mm. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
And: With the Nikkor I additionally have a 14mm, a 16mm, a 17mm ... a 24mm <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
