I just did. I took three files
GX1, NEX7 & EM5 : ISO 1600 & 1/400s
all of them.
The NEX7 doesn't have the same field of view and comprises more white area so the comparison basis is slightly off imho.
Remains the match between GX1 & EM5, the EM5 file seems mostly more contrasty and maybe a tad *brighter*. With exact same picture parameters : lens,aperture, fov, shutter speed and iso. And there's a definite better overall feel with the E-M5 file.
So I'm not sure what you're looking at, Sammy. Care to give us sources?
EDIT : ok I read further about it. Opinions diverge from 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop difference to gx1/g3. Dpreview's Richard Butlers says 1/3 according to their testing. Still, the impression of perceived noise difference seem to be a tad more, IMO. Happy with the results I'm seeing. Good for us.
