Well... After having tested the 16mm f/2.8 pancake on the NEX-7, I though that the lens had pretty dark corners. However, I did not remember this on the NEX-5, so I did a quick comparison test. Bingo! The corner darkening is completely different:
NEX-7-16mm-f5.6
NEX-5-16mm-f5.6
The 16mm pancake is the closest one can get to a rangefinder lens in E-mount. So indeed, there is a visible effect for this kind of lens. However, I do not see much difference in corner sharpness.
