The 16mm pancake is the closest one can get to a rangefinder lens in E-mount. So indeed, there is a visible effect for this kind of lens. However, I do not see much difference in corner sharpness.

Considering the Nex-7 has about 21% more linear resolution, that is saying something... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.
However, this is exactly what I did hear from a few other Nex-5/Nex-7 owners.
