A bit less sharp, yes. But not 28mm is as good as a 50mm on a full frame camera either. Last year I did the same kind of test with 28mm lenses on the A900, you can look at the pictures here:

In any case, the lens proves that a reasonably fast wide angle with decent corners is possible on the NEX-7.
