Hi All,

most of you already know that there are ongoing discussions about some D800 issues. Some of them seem to be false alarms, but some other look serious...
Any ideas if the AF issues and the poor IQ on LCD for %100 magnified LiveView can be corrected by firmware updates?

AF issues due to a badly aligned sensor can not be helped with software updates for the camera. AF issues which stem from AF sensor design can't be corrected with it either. AF issues seen with particular lens models may or may not be fixable through software update (24mm f1.4 comes to mind). AF issues to do with logic can be helped with software update, like for instance working focus trapping.

Any 100% live view issue should be fixable, unless it is set in the silicon and there is no room to implement it better in software. I have not read about this live view issue though, so no idea what it is really about.
