this is probably another useless answer from me - and i'm not pushing for any particular camera, but i have now seen many pictures from my friends 800, and have corresponded with him many times re. the pictures - he has no complaints to me about anything and neither would i if i was achieving those quality pictures with as little work in post as he is apparently doing - but of course i could be wrong, the camera is not in my hands(and most likely never will be-i have too many excellent other brand lenses), but i do know his work very well -



so maybe, if there are problems with this camera, it is a QC thing and the people who are having problems should return their camera under their shops 'no questions' returns policy and ask for another one please (i can recommend a shop that has such a policy that works very well even half way around the world)
