Well, Canon's 9-point "diamond" AF module has not received great reviews since it was initially introduced in the 20D (even though it was no doubt a step-up from the 10D's AF). But that doesn't necessarily mean that any AF module with a similar amount of AF points is poor, too. Look at the D200 AF, for example.



But then, if it is a D7000 sized camera, why not use the D7000 AF module, too?
