Indeed, I did not understand what kind of greatness BC sees in the Canon 9-point AF module. Nor do I see a justification to praise the Nikon 11-point AF as it was employed in say the D200 as "great". Anyhow, a D7000-sized FF body at a reasonable price would of course be an interesting proposition. For a winner they just should take care in not stripping off too much functionality. In the end - photographers prefer to enjoy using their hardware regardless of the image format.

The AF sensor module and AF processing have evolved over the years, the EOS 600D and EOS 60D offer much better AF performance then the 20D which predates them 6 years.
Remember that I showed how good my 450D was in tracking, compared to the Sony A55v?
The AF from the D90 and the D5100 are still performing well too.
