RAW profile = parameter set that WE use to develop RAW files.
This differs from camera to camera - simply also because the AA filter/in-camera processing is different
Additionally you are getting different results from different RAW converters (version) due to the different demosaicing algorithms. An an example: ACR changes its algorithms frequently so there is no standardized point here.
Imatest (the analysis software) provides a certain number during the analysis that we are using for tuning our RAW profiles then.
I'm, of course, aware that an AA filter is something else than opal glass. I used this merely to transport the message.
