If I had the D3x, I would be more or less ok with the situation. Because I don't think I would sell it for such lower prices (to get the new D800).
OTOH, I believe the D800 will cost (effectively) less than the rumoured D600, since today I have the chance to sell my D700 for a reasonable price <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />... But a D600 with 1.500$ price tag, would really make the D700 a collection item (which cannot be sold ever) <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />...
