You put an extra 0 on the price of the non-DO lens <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I don't think I'd pay $4500 for it.
Will there be also an updated test on crop sensor?
I did get a DO for myself, pre-used so that the price was somewhat sane. The reason for choosing it over the non-DO version? So it would fit in my small camera bags <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I have the 100-400L for when I don't care about size. The only other 300mm region lens I had at the time was the Tamron 18-270 but that felt worse on the long end (both on crop sensor of course).

Thanks ... a 70-300 for 4500EUR may be a little over the top ... :-)
There'll be no update on APS-C this time. The lens is not all that interesting for the mainstream I think.
