Yes that could be an alternative... But:
1) The new Sigma 150mm is an APO lens (the 1.4x TC does not make the 105mm better with that regard <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />)
2) 1.4x TC makes VF darker
Anyway, why I keep the lens and don't get the new Sigma, because I'm not interested in macro work like I do in the past...
