Nice theory, which probably might be kinda valid with non-corrected lenses of sorts.



The 28mm is not a "fish eye" though.



And as established by puxa vida above, the lens does not have such a strong field curvature.

Also, what we see is much more extreme.



Would be problematic if what your diagram shows would be the case with all lenses. Luckily, that is not how things work.
