Serkan, if photography is the main reason for the trip then of course take the gear you want. Our trip Down Under was for the benefit of our kids and a big camera just got in the way of everything.
But if you want to enjoy Vietnam first and foremost then a big DSLR kit will be a mistake. You will be on buses, trains, boats and so on and you will constantly be babying your gear rather taking in the delights of the surrounds.
For our trip to Oz I used the D300 and 16-35 f4 for a couple of days and then for the rest of the month I just used a point and shoot Sony. My only regret was that I ended up damaging the 16-35 even though I was careful with it whereever we went.
And don't forget to check out Catherine Deneuve in Indochine. One of the best movies ever!
