Sorry, but the sample images posted by Mr. Ashley are way too oversharpened to allow any conclusions, IMO.
There may be some field curvature, but certainly not to a degree that renders the lens "unsuitable" for landscapes. To be honest, if I was shooting landscapes, why would I mind a lens with a slight amount of field curvature anyway? At least as long as the focal plane bends towards the photographer at the image borders?
