Have you been smoking pot or what? This is not a "desperate " move. It's Sony's interest in investing in profitable medical division. This has nothing to do with "lenses" per se, but the lens/sensor deal is just a minor side note to overall investment.

When looking at the Alpha lineup I can see primarily Zeiss lenses, relabeled Tamron lenses and old Minolta designs. The native Sony stuff is a little on the slim side don't you think ?



And I think we don't really need to talk about Sony E here.
