Everyone has their own perspective and own sense of what is "right" in the camera that they are comfortable with. It is just standing back and observing I am bemused by all the emphasis placed on the SLT mirror and the light loss that this entails whilst ignoring the advantages of no mirror slap, no need for mirror lock up and direct information feed from what the sensor is actually seeing.
The A77 needs to be compared to the Canon 7D in size,weight and performance not an entry level plastic, plastic everywhere effort. An A78 with the AF-D and on sensor focus etc improvements from the A99 will make an even better camera.
I have criticisms of the NEX 7 in that I consider it somewhat too small for the type of photographer who will be using it, the twin control wheels placement and that the UI should be as close as you can get to the A77 rather than a compromised mobile phone interface.Don't have a problem with the sensor in either the A77 or the NEX 7.
