Hi folks,
before coming to the the photographs I took, there's a lot to share (because I could not create time to process the raw files, yet...). I could not have time to take proper notes during the tour, because we were on the road everyday and the evenings were reserved for sleep right after the dinner. If only I could create some time, I could write the tour details in a blog but does not seem possible so far. But if I can, P-Zoners will be the first to know about that :-)...
Northern Vietnam is beautiful... Both for landscape and travel photographers can enjoy, and there are a lot of possibilities to improve skills. The thing is that I was with a bunch of friends who mostly like to take portraits and not so keen on landscape photography. Nevertheless, although I was the minority, quite a lot of landscape photograps were taken during the tour. But I have to admit that the light was not so perfect for landscapes. Mostly hazy and lack of contrast. But I have some lucky shots involving mist and beautiful shape of the mountains. More than the landscapes, I took photograps of hill tribe people (so called "minority people") in various villages...
The food was good in Hanoi but we had some bad days in the northern part (in villages) concerning the meals... Thanks god, we could find beer in every and each village.
My dilemma concerning the gear before we left for the trip was ended in a very strange way: I took both the D700 and the D800 with a double strap, which was quite ok in many ways...
