can someone explain the difference/advantage between (E)TTL extension cords and PCsync cords? I have a canon 7D and a 580EX ll (both have PCsync connectors) , the main purpose should be as of-camera flash for macro-photography and flash photography in portret-mode (to avoid lateral shadows with the flash mounted on the camera)
