"close ups" and "far aways" are different, even if you rob a bank for a red point on a body and a lens :ph34r: I found a [url="http://www.photoscala.de/Artikel/Lichtstarke-24er-im-Test"]test of fast wide angles on photoscala.de[/url] looong ago and a lot of blahblah about the Leica lens, which was sooooo much better than CanoNikon. Given the fact CanoNikons focus at 10x focal length and the Leica at 29x and given the other fact of being triple as expensive and all that without bothering much about old fashioned autofocus, not much of that big impression left. Well, I know, it's fantastic and all that, but it better is - at that price and with this practical handicaps.

Please don't take anything of this post seriously, I even doubt the beetle was drunk, but the photographer probably a bit. Or two.


And it was you, who brought me to the idea of wideangle closeups in your test of Nikon 24/1.4. I really like it, still, although Sigma comes more precisely wide open.
