Well maybe we still don't know anything about them!
K-r looks like a very nice starter to enthusiast dslr, Pentax have listened either to its users or more probably the reviewers ref the focus points. ISO to 25600 might be a push and 6fps looks to be more than class competitive. If it is as well received as the K-x then all power to Pentax. I like the zoom function built into the live view via a cursor, looks to be an elegant solution.
The DA-L 35mm f2.4 is a curious addition, already the faithful are complaining about its slowness (they lose a stop on the lens and gain maybe 2 on the camera if bought with a K-r!!!), and that it is plastic. It obviously sticks out against its direct competitors with only f2.4 verses f1.8 but again numbers are one thing, performance in the field is another so lets wait and see. It maybe very good from wide open <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
A pairing of the K-r and DA-L 35 looks to be a great night time party camera, small, light and fast with enough resolution. I like the concept overall but as I have a K20D with a couple of LTDs (43 & 77) i'm more interested in the successor to the K-7 which will hopefully be announced in the next few weeks.
