The Metz company in Germany has today filed for insolvency.  See e.g. http://www.sueddeutsche.de/bayern/insolv...-1.2228967, if you can read German.  The article discusses their TV bussiness and doesn't even mention their lightening branch.  Right now it is not clear what it means to photographers, at least to me.

 

For over 30 years I have been using Metz flash units.  I liked their SCA system, which allowed moving flashes between camera systems.  It would be very sad to see them go.
