I just ordered one at Amazon - not for me, for a colleague and bird photographer. It was something like 270€?
I see the possible ideas, but to look at them, you're bound to a computer, if you want to take advantage of the interactive zoom and pan.
It's good, it's not a cheap gimmick - I don't want more plastic waste
