I checked out the dimensions of the G vs the D, the G is quite a bit larger but lighter, I also prefer the constructional feel of the AF-Ds. Sharpness wise they are similar, bokeh's a better on the G, but it's only slight. While I was weighing it all up a AF-D popped up on "the bon coin" site and I went for it at 250 euros in great nick, a tad more than I wanted to spend, but heck, still 150 less than the G!
(BTW has to be AF otherwise it would have been a no brainer for Samyang)
I think for hand to hand combat (maybe up one of Brightcolour's mountains) the D will inflict the most physical damage on any assailant with a better chance of it being functional after the mortal contact! ... :wub:

After this string of purchases I'm kinda hoping the swelling will go down after my serious bout of LBA :blink:
