Well ... define "better" <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The 35/2.8 is cheaper, smaller, has nicer bokeh. That's what counts for me. They are both sharp on the M9 (actually almost any lens I have tried so far is sharp enough for my needs on the M9).

Size. Cannot really comment on its image quality, yet. Got it just recently and since then haven't had any opportunities to seriously use it.
