I've just migrated my 3beta and 2 files together into a single catalogue.
Be warned that there is a nasty bug in the "import as catalogue" feature; if any of the images in the catalogue you are importing from are in the same folder as the catalogue you are importing to, the import will fail "for an unknown reason". The support people say it will be fixed in the first point upgrade.
Workaround if you have two catalogues you want to concatenate: convert them both to the new format; then export as catalogue from one of them ONLY the folders that are not in the other. You can then import from this exported catalogue (don't export the actual image files, ie do not tick "export negatives")
You can then deal with the remaining overlap folders on a case by case basis.
Oh: it certainly seems much faster than 3beta; especially when scrolling in the grid.
