and that Canon and Sigma ar better in this regard.

The context with the Tamron struggling beyond 500mm ist clearly there.

Let me put that into perspective here, the VC functions with a certain jerkyness at 600mm, but it works fine at 1/250 sec. or less! But don't use it at shutter speeds faster than that, it just blurs the image!
