Quote:And so many oldtimers, at least in the Sigma department... fisheye? really? That's so nineties...That's why Canon has released a new fisheye (zoom, no less) and the third party market for those has blossomed (now that you've said it... there's a bunch of current Sigma and Samyang fisheyes for various mounts and formats. I named the 15mm because lately I've been thinking of getting a fisheye of some variety. Well, if it's "so 90s", at least I hope they don't bring the nu metal thing along...
BTW the 15mm f/2.8 seems to be in production?...
Quote:I'm considering Sony A mount to be dead. At least it's so sick that we won't invest there into a new camera.Aha, that was about the reaction I wanted to get. Sure, I don't need nor have any real urge to see all those; I was just contemplating (since I'm not really versed in Pentax, µ4/3 and Fuji - I thought the Fuji system was really all covered anyway? - I wasn't venturing into these areas). My personal interest is mostly in the Sigma and Tamron lenses I mentioned, especially the 45 & 85 mm from Mr. T.
We had massive issues with Tokinas so they are, unfortunately, unlikely (although the 24-70/2.8 seems great).
Sony E-mount is a top priority. I'm simply waiting to have lenses available at my favorite rental shop. Will purchase the Batis lenses - at least the 18mm and 85mm - for testing.
Canon - the 24-105L II and 16-35mm III will be covered ASAP. And two EF-Ms.
Tamron - the 15-30mm is coming (Nikon). Eventually I'll have to bow to the inevitable and test those extreme zooms there (sigh).
Sigma - the photokina stuff (12-24/4 and 85/1.4) has priority. Markus is on the 24-35mm.
Nikon - some stuff is coming.
Fuji - yeah, those two remaining lenses.
Olympus - the 12-100mm is hot ...
Pentax - actually one test is in the making there ;-)
We'll not be able to cover the whole market. Legacy lenses are out of question.

If I had been in Australia, I would've sent you a couple of old "gems" in Canon mount to test.
