I'm pretty sure there will not be a Sports-version of the 100-400 - it's meant as a Superzoom for those who are not happy with only 70-300. A lot of the C series is only in that series, there's no 17-70 Art or Sports. The Fuji 100-400 also has f/4.5-5.6, but I reckon the Sigma will be around half the price and still decent enough.
Today I saw three lenses we recently talked about: The 105/1.4 G, the Sigma 85/1.4 A and the 500/4 S. The Nikon is already a nice bucket, but the Sigma throws enough shadow to make the Nikon disappear ^_^ the 85, that is. Extrapolating the 85/1.4 to 135/1.8 I imagine a thing which will nearly be as big as a 200/2. Good luck with handling (and finetuning) this monster on a DSLR.
