She seems to be an excellent photographer too
Hey Toni,
She indeed is.
What's ironic is that if it hadn't been for my wife, I'd probably not be on this forum!
Back in 2007 when preparing our 6-month honey moon trip, she wanted us to document it with photographs. I wasn't that hot to the idea (and had never really used a camera back then). Little by little, she convinced me and I bought a Pentax K10D with a couple of lenses (Sigma 17-70, Sigma 70-300, Pentax A-50 1.4). I had maybe a couple of months to understand photography basics and practice before our departure. It really grew on me and pretty soon I was hooked :-)
Without her, this would probably have never happened.
Interestingly, today is the opposite: I'm trying to push her to get into photography, but with a baby and a toddler, she doesn't have much time/energy left. I bought her a Panasonic GM5 with an Olympus 17mm f1.8 (and Pany 14 f2.5) which she uses occasionally to shoot the kids. She enjoys it but I'm still hoping she would take it more "seriously" in the future... Fingers crossed ;-)
