That is surprising (and it's f4-7.1, not f5-7.1 by the way) and I don't think there are any current lenses with specs close to that.
That said, I should note two things: the range is more useful than the typical 28-70mm kit lenses, and 105 mm f7.1 is a larger aperture than 70mm f5.6. It could still be desirable if they can sell it in a kit for $100, $200 at most.
