And the "tweaked" wider, faster lens? We have it, it's the 24-70 f/2.8; not as long one might argue, but faster and priced about the same as the aforementioned f/4 zooms. The 28-105 OTOH is a surprisingly good "kit" lens, costing half the price.
As I said, this range is reasonably well covered. Not their most urgent gap to fill Those primes, OTOH...
It would be nicer if it started from 24mm, of course (without compromising its optics). But I cannot agree that it absolutely had to be a twice as expensive f/4!
