With the new Dulens 85mm APO lens and the two Voigtlander APO macro lenses for Sony FE, I've been wondering: why are the major lens manufacturers (apart from Leica) not releasing Apochromatic lenses? Is it a matter of cost, of difficulty marketing them, or is that characteristic just not seen as useful enough?
