These days I do use 24 mm instead, but I guess that is really because of the TS-E, and the fact there is no 28L .
BTW, the lens design and its elements are quite different from anything I have seen before. Just below the MTF-chart is the lens design. Rather weirdly shaped front lenses, molded asphericals. It looks like an inside out Tessar with a couple of lenses for the wide angle view.
Canon 35mmf1.8 IS STM was on my list then they listed this one....I prefer 35 versus 28mm, (my primes lineup would be 20-35-50 and 85) however focal length are practicaly closo the 35 has stabilisation but it's bigger and heavier, so I might well get it
