I admit that there has been a change in optical structure (after all, the new one is longer)... The build quality can be better than the predeccessor also. But I curb my enthusiasm when it comes to new glass technology which is named as "FLD" but has nothing to do with being a fluorit element. I hope it performs well... All in all having variety of models on the FF compatible UWA side is always good for us the consumers.
