Thanks for all your input and thoughts. Some of them I uderstand, some not <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> , but I have ordered a Nikon 105VR. If I need longer focal length, I can use the Tamron 70-300 with a close up lens (I guess??) Anyways, this will do me fine for the moment. Now, what do you recommend in terms of a macro flash kit that will work on the 50mm and the 105mm? Kindly VL

I have Nikon 105mm VR and it's one of my favourite lenses - half of the time as a long portrait lens actually, it's very sharp wide open and has really smooth bokeh <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The only thing I find a bit annoying about this lens is focus breathing. Fine with smaller magnification, but if you ever go over 1:1 (either by extension tubes or reversed WA) and do focus stacking of say, 10 images, you'll see what I mean <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />
P.s. lol, judging by your underline signature you're very impatient person <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
