I wonder why seemingly no one is able to get the high end lenses *completely* right from the first attempt, and there's inevitably a mark II some years later (like there was with the GM trinity, the GM 85...). But this lens did surprise me a little - no off the charts vignetting like Canon's last couple of entries in the range had, and even the distortion is well reined in.
P.S. In the last paragraph of the conclusion, you have a mistake: "Tamon" instead of "Tamron". Just sayin'.
