what fish do you have  just to know their size and help you choose your focal, 30mm APS-C should be a good allaround,  you don't need a macro lens for fish a standard zoom like 18-50 should do the job pretty well. I expect both cameras  to do well

Mostly various uncommon species of apistogramma. I currently have the follow:
Apistogramma sp. "Ipiranga"
Apistogramma sp winkelfleck
Apistogramma sp Ladisalo
Apistogramma nijjensi
Apistogramma wolli
Apistogramma sp bluketa
(all wild caught)
I also some nice wc discus and Ivanacara Bimaculata. I have some g. sp alto (gold dust) they keep breeding so not well behaved. They need birth control or something. Sadly my chocolate cichild also breed. I think i have to stop obtaining females.

So you don't have any opinion between the two ? My general reading suggest the sony has better low light performance and auto focus but the fuji will have better jpeg. Maybe the difference between the two is very minor ?
I have a very old om-1 (original digital) maybe that is good enough? I should try to find it ?
